Please take the time to visit a nearly zero energy or low energy building in Wicklow or elsewhere in Ireland from 7th – 9th November 2014 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) during the NZEB Open Doors Ireland 2014 event.
During this weekend, visitors will have the opportunity to visit some of the best examples of low or nearly zero energy houses and public/ commercial buildings in Ireland.
The NZEB Open Doors Ireland event will overlap with the International Passive House Days and the NZEB organisers are working with the Passive House Association of Ireland to jointly promote both events.
Booking places for the visits will be available on their website Nearly Zero Energy Buildings from mid October 2014.

You will get an email confimation of your booking.
That site will then send you with a second reminder email two days before the event confirming the exact address and how to find the building.
If you click on a county in the map, all buildings participating in that county will be shown.
The Eco Village in Cloughjordan, Co Tipperary will arrange multiple visits to several houses together.

Directions – Be Patient! – Roadworks
Driving south on the N11, turn right opposite the Beehive Pub or driving north, turn left at the Beehive (opposite Wicklow town turn). Follow the road for about 3km till you go over a bridge on a slight right hand bend. About 150m after the bridge turn left up a lane (marked with a white toilet roll!). Follow signs for the property. If you are coming from Rathdrum, drive towards Glenealy and turn right at the Deputy’s Pass Junction. Follow this road till you get to a T-junction, turn left and drive about 400m. Turn right up a lane marked with a toilet roll! Follow signs for the property.
