Last May we published a Transport Committee Update together with a map of the Proposed Path Repair Locations, the Proposed Repair Specification and the Proposed Bollard Specification.

We are thrilled to announce that we have completed that job.

We are now looking forward to a good turnout for the Great Old Coach Road Walking Trail Cleanup on Sat, 1st March, 2014.

Assembly: 10am in Ballmanus Lane. All are welcome. See Map Old Coach Road Walking Trail Map

Looking forward to see ing you on Saturday !

Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday !

The Old Coach Road Talking Trail was created and opened with the co-operation of the National Parks & Wildlife Service.

Starting from Ballymanus Lane cross roads and going in a South Westerly direction, the trail follows the route of the old coach road and leads out through the forest on to the Deputy’s Pass trail and eventually to the car park.

Mud from certain sections of the trail was drained and cleared earlier in the year but for many years, briars, bushes and weeds have overgrown the path and now need to be cleared (This could not be done earlier because of wildlife regulations).

Ballynagran Energy Plus is seeking volunteers to help with this task.

Volunteers are asked to bring slash hooks, spades and shears and wear suitable clothing.

We would be thrilled if YOU could take part.
